I reached the padang at around 4pm and queued to get into the place for about 1hour or so due the fact 10,000 people are trying to get it. No choice for the sake of 6 CIP hours. The order of queuing was in a mess. Everyone was packed like sardines, inching foot by foot forward. There was some pushing too and as usual, some people try to cut queue. Typical Singaporeans.

It was already half full when i got in. I managed to get into the white sector and got a white umbrella to the delight of most of us.

And so we opened....
and closed umbrella.
You can stand under my umbrella ella ella a a a.
While eveveryone was contented with their umbrella, Kwang Wei had other ideas in his head after he finished two packets of chips.
In the mist of opening and closing the umbrella to break the world records on the biggest human flag, i professionally took some, okay 2 photos.

This shows i can multi-task. Who say boys can't do it?
After that we sat down and watched the parade live from the big screen put up. Actually i recorded a video of the fighter jets but a the end i smartly pressed cancel and there goes the clip.
After the whole parade had ended, the person-in-charge asked everyone for their cooperation to pick up their litter and throw it away.
and this was the response he got:
Yes. As you guessed. To no avail. Why can't we Singaporeans be nice and cooperative for once on the nationa's birthday. Yes, i practiced what i preach and left my area litter free.
I'll try to upload the fireworks on YouTube if i can get the stupid thing to work.
Happy Birthday Singapore. Happy National Day.
