Why can't Singapore play like this more often?
They did well today, much much better than the previous few games. They went for every ball, their passing was rather sleek. They matched the Thai equally if not more. I have no compliants on their performances today. Thumbs up explains it all.
The stadium atmosphere is really a large contrasting difference from watching on television. When something happens, the whole stadium erupts together. Every cheer and every boo. Really memorable experience for one final last game.
I have no comments on the Thai's suspending play for 15mins after refusing to play in objection against the penalty decision. I mean like come on, would you rather be a goal down then to lose the match 3-0 for suspending play? But I do admit after seeing replays at home that the penalty was a flunked. It will be headlines in the papers tomorrow. Still, there is no excuse for the thai coach to intigate a walk out in protest. You can protest all you want after the final whistle but not during the match. No sportmanship.
22 + 1 people on the pitch. 55,000 spectators on the stands. Farewell National Stadium.
ole.
