Zero to Hero. That's what Lionel Lewis became.

He made a howler of the distant shot from the malaysia team, allowing the ball the bounce off him for a goal. Singapore goal was really unexpected as usual. Bennet cross was superb and the rest is history. Back on level terms, game on. The game was much more exciting after that with more attacking displays.

The reminder of the game produced no goals. Extra time followed suit in the same fashion with one player going off for cramps. The only shot worth mentioning was Precious long range attempt which looked headed for goal until the goalkeeper somehow shockingly kept out.

Penalties beckoned which emoctions ran high. The first 4 penalties for each side where taken really well. Then came the final penalties from both countries. Shi Jiayi took it for Singapore. He shot it and the goalkeeper managed to get a touch to it. The next thing i knew was the ball landing at the back of the net. It took me a few seconds to realise that although the keeper got a touch, the inertia of the ball carried it across the line. How lucky.

Lionel Lewis saved the last penalty from malaysia and it marked a astonishing turn around from Singapore.

To be honest, the Malaysia played much better compared to Singapore but it is us who are in the finals.

And so we live to fight another day.

Champions again for the second time in a row? The possibilty is still there.
